​Wotbikini Stand Up Paddle Boarding: Terms and Conditions & Data Protection
By accepting the Terms and Conditions of Wotbikini Stand Up Paddleboarding, you are accepting the following:
Wotbikini is a paddleboarding organisation owned, managed and staffed by Emma Love.
Staff to student/client ratios are in accordance with our National Governing Body Paddle UK (BCAB) recommended guidelines.

Health and Safety
​
Please be aware all water sports are a ‘risk’ activity and that you, the participant understands this. I carry public liability insurance - details are available on request.
I advise you the participant(s) to purchase your own personal holiday insurance to cover personal injury.

With water-based activities, all participants must be confident in an open water environment and able to swim a minimum of 25 metres.
​
Wearing of spectacles: participants are recommended not to wear spectacles of any kind. Spectacles can be a hazard to yourself whilst participating in any of our courses. If you the participant, choose to wear spectacles (of any kind) you must accept that injury may occur and accept responsibility for any such injury or loss of spectacles. Participants may wear contact lenses.

I reserve the right to cancel or postpone any activity or activities should I suspect or become otherwise aware of any reason that the participant(s) may not be appropriate, suitable, safe or able to otherwise – for whatever reason – to carry out the activity or activities on safety, medical or any other grounds. This will include, but not be limited to alcohol or drug consumption, conduct etc.

Medical conditions
​
I require participants to inform me of any medical or other conditions that may affect your ability to safely paddle under instruction via the activity consent /medical form and on the day of delivery. Please fill in the form to the best of your knowledge – copies are made available online and hard copies also available on the day of your course.

It is the responsibility of the participant to keep Emma Love up to date regarding any conditions that may have arisen or be suspected, and that could affect their safety or ability to engage in paddleboarding.​​
​
If you are in any doubt as to whether you should take part in an activity because of an existing medical condition, please seek advice from your doctor.
​​
Please bring your medication with you whilst on your activity and make Emma Love aware of existing conditions.

Let’s discuss how I can support you. Although not all courses / sites are suitable for all participants I will do my best to help by working with you to assess your individual needs relative to your chosen course.

Pregnancy
​
If you are pregnant, I do not recommend booking a course due to the potential risk of falling and harming the baby. Please gain medical advise from your doctor.
​
Minimum age and other restrictions
Sessions & courses advertised on the Wotbikini website are for either women or mixed groups – 18yrs plus.
​​All participants must bring wetshoes or old trainers to be worn during the session including on the water.
​​​
Swim wear must be worn under the wetsuits provided.
​Emma Love will not be held liable for any damage caused to clients own non -paddling equipment including but not limited to mobile phones and technology, vehicles, clothes/clothing etc. I do not recommend that any personal items such as and for example jewellery, keys, mobile phones, or other technology are carried during any activity given the risk of damage or loss during these times.
Emma Love will not be held liable for the damage, loss, or any other cost in respect of personal equipment including participants paddleboards and accompanying equipment.

Damage caused to Wotbikini equipment due to client’s own negligence, carelessness or malicious acts must be paid for at the time and at the current replacement value.

Payment
​
Payment for any award, course, session, assessment, or any other activity through will be made in accordance with instructions via our website, wotbikinipaddleboarding.co.uk and in full.
​
Your place on a session/course is confirmed at the point of payment in full via my website.
​​Late arrivals
​
Please arrive in plenty of time to arrange parking and get ready for your session on the water. I recommend arriving at least 40 minutes prior to the start time at point of booking.
​
If you arrive late for a course or absent from any session, I reserve the right to refuse to accept you if this impacts on the larger group time on the water or/and insufficient grasp of skills/knowledge. In all such cases, payment is non-refundable.

Session locations
​
Please see your booking confirmation email for details on session location. Session locations vary depending on which activities are booked, river levels and weather conditions.

Parking and accessibility differ at the sites I use. Please contact Emma Love directly if you have any questions.

Wotbikini working in partnership with external coaches & organisations.
When booking via an external organisation – your booking agreement is with that external coach or/and organisation and their T&C’s apply.
Refund policy may differ for these events and will be clearly written in the course/event description on the Wotbikini website. These apply to that event only and cannot be applied to other events, courses, sessions etc.

CAKE with Wotbikini – women’s paddling community
This is a private Facebook community created by Wotbikini. This is made available for women who have completed British Canoeing Awarding Body DISCOVER and/or EXPLORE (inland sheltered water). It has been created for women to be build a community of flat water SUP paddlers, access Wotbikini supported trips and organise their own independent paddle trips.
Each month an organised trip will be advertised on the private CAKE FB community.
The delivery site will change regularly, and all booking information will be advertised accordingly. Wotbikini is responsible for this monthly organised paddle trip only. This is stated clearly on the Facebook page.
Payment will be made directly to Wotbikini via BACS post event.
Independently organised SUP trips - Wotbikini does not accept liability for paddle trips independently organised by members of the community via CAKE FB page. Wotbikini does not rent out equipment for independently organised trips by members of CAKE FB community. Each participant is responsible for their own safety.
If you decide to organise an independent paddle trip, you are responsible for ensuring you (and your group) are physically fit enough to stand up paddleboard. That you (and your group) can all swim 25 metres. That you (and your group) paddleboards and equipment meet a high standard. You (and your group) are using a QR leash(es) and in the appropriate environment. That you (and your group) carry safety equipment including mobile phones, personal medication, emergency contact information, have a point of contact, maps, additional clothing etc consulted and understood the weather for the duration you are on the water and safety planning is in place prior to your trip.
You and your group must paddle a recognised route - as identified by Paddle UK and have researched and assessed the conditions for and on the day of your trip. You (and your group) abide by legally recognised access & egress routes and follow the Paddlers Code.
You (and your group) are able to self-rescue and assist another paddler if required. You (and your group) are paddling within the remit suitable for all the group ability & experience.
You (and each individual) are carrying valid and in date licences and have personal insurance in place - these can be obtained via Paddle UK.
You (and your group) understand that you are participating in paddle boarding at your own risk.
Wotbikini (Emma Love) is not liable and offers no insurance cover to individuals or groups in regard to personal accidents that may occur during you (and your group) independent paddling trips organised via the FB page – CAKE.
Vouchers
A voucher is valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Once you have purchased a voucher,

Paper – posted to you (second class & signed for) within 14 days from point of purchase.
To redeem your voucher, please identify the date you would like to attend via the website, email (hello@wotbikinipaddleboarding.co.uk) stating the date, time, and quote the code printed on your voucher. If this date/time is full, we will contact you to rearrange. 30 day cancellation policy applies. Is subject to medical disclaimer form. Confirmation information including where to meet and what to bring will be emailed once a booking has been confirmed.

British Canoeing Awarding Body (BCAB) Certification Fees
British Canoeing Awarding Body Courses – Where registration fees etc are required and payable by the student directly to BCAB, this will be made clear in the booking information.
Parking & water fee

Where parking fees are not included in your course fee – this will be made clear in your booking information. It is your responsibility to make payment.

2 weeks prior - 0% refund or if you can fill your space, full refund minus £20.00 admin fee
If I do not receive sufficient bookings – NHS sessions or programme will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund (no admin fee)
Cancellation by Emma Love

I work hard to deliver all our booked courses. I do however reserve the right to cancel, modify, change delivery sites for any activity or activities on grounds of safety, bad weather, illness, or other factors beyond my control.
I will make all reasonable attempts to find you an alternative date for the course booked or offer you a voucher for the course booked and for the same value at the time of the booking. This is valid for one year.
Cancellation due to COVID lockdown (or equivalent)
If a national or local lockdown restricts our ability to run a course which you are booked onto, we will send you a voucher for the course booked and for the same value at the time of booking. This is valid for one year.
British Canoeing Awarding Training Courses (Explore & SUP SW Coach Training)
Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to these terms and conditions; and these terms and conditions shall constitute the entire agreement between you (‘the Customer’ also referred to as a ‘Participant’) or the person making the booking on your behalf, and Wotbikini Stand Up Paddleboarding.
Payment of deposit or balance for an activity indicates acceptance of these terms.
Bookings can only be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit or full payment, by bank transfer to Wotbikini Stand Up Paddleboarding (details upon request).
Cancellations/transfers by Wotbikini Stand Up Paddleboarding
Every attempt will be made to ensure courses run as scheduled. However, as this course involves a considerable portion of practical activities, it may be cancelled at short notice due to adverse weather conditions, inappropriate water levels or due to covid – 19 circumstances. For educational, safety and financial reasons my courses must reach minimum numbers to run. I reserve the right to:

Cancel a course should the numbers fail to reach a viable minimum, or that required by British Canoeing Awarding Body for a course to run.

Cancel or curtail any course due to unsuitable water conditions, forecast or prevailing weather conditions, or due to any other factors beyond my control.
I will endeavour to offer suitable alternative course dates, but if unable to do so or the alternative course offered is unacceptable to you, the Participant, a full refund will be made for all cancelled sessions, calculated pro rata where applicable.
Wotbikini Stand Up Paddleboarding shall have no liability arising from cancellation other than as set out above, and I recommend that you book refundable accommodation/transport options.

If you need to cancel or transfer, please contact me immediately, so that I can do my best to help you. Should you cancel; the following scale of charges will apply:

** Cancellation 14 days or less before the course starts – 80 % of course fee is chargeable. I will, however, endeavour to fill your place, and if successful you will be able to transfer to another course at no cost.
*** Cancellation less than 13 days or less before the course starts – 100 % of course fee is chargeable. I will, however, endeavour to fill your place, and if successful you will be able to transfer to another course at no cost.
If you wish to move your booking to a different date, I will do my best to accommodate this, subject to existing bookings and being able to fill your place. If successful you will be able to transfer to another course at no cost.
Physical Fitness and Medical Conditions
In submitting a booking, you are representing that you, or the person on whose behalf you are submitting the booking, have an adequate level of fitness and preparedness for the activities to be undertaken.
If you have a medical condition, illness or any condition which may affect your ability to take part, you must disclose this on your consent form, and, if appropriate, seek the advice of your doctor before submitting your booking.
You must also indicate upon booking if you have any disability or special requirements of which I may reasonably need to be aware.
Safety, Injury and Loss of Property
Participation in adventurous activities entails some risk of injury. I am trained and
appropriately qualified and insured to run activity sessions and will at all times proceed in a manner to limit the risk of injury. However, participants need to accept that accidents and injuries can happen.
Outdoor adventurous activities take place in varied natural environments where there are natural hazards and risks to manage. Every effort will be made to provide realistic training in a safe manner. Participants participating in courses.
are expected to comply with all safety guidance and instructions given by Wotbikini Stand UP Paddleboarding. The Company shall not be, liable for any illness, injury or loss of life sustained on any course, except where such illness, injury or loss of life is caused by the negligence of the Company nor will the Company be liable for any uninsured loss of personal property.
For all courses, you are advised to have insurance that covers you for all of the activities.
The customer is responsible for the safekeeping of any company equipment issued for use during the activity/course. With the exception of fair wear and tear the company reserves the right to charge for equipment that has been lost or misused.
Errors and Omissions
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our publicity information, Wotbikini Stand Up Paddleboarding does not accept liability for any errors, inaccuracies or omissions therein, and reserves the right to alter course details at any time. Please check all details and
prices before making your booking.

Data Protection/Privacy
The information you have supplied will be treated and stored in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018. I may take photographs and/or video of participants for publicity purposes, including reproduction on our website and social media, and in submitting your booking you are indicating your consent to the same, unless you indicate otherwise on the Activity Consent Form

Privacy Statement British Canoeing Awarding Body, Paddles Up Training, Scottish Canoe Association, Canoe Association of Northern Ireland and Canoe Wales takes your privacy seriously -
We will only use your data to administer your training or qualification. How your information will be used: By participating in a British Canoeing Awarding Body course, you agree to the use of your personal data for administering your course participation and results.
It is an expectation of Employers, Government Agencies, and members of the public that Delivery Centres should retain a permanent core record of candidate name, the training and qualifications taken and their outcomes.
This allows the Delivery Centre to support the candidate’s right to lifelong learning and to meet legislative requirements, such as confirming the validity of qualifications. Qualification Processing: We will administer your qualification and training on you or your child's behalf.
We will only use personal data relevant for administering the qualification or training with the Provider, the Providers National Association, and the Awarding Body.
Sharing with British Canoeing Awarding Body: For Coaching Qualifications, we will share your details with British Canoeing Awarding Body to process your qualification and claim certification.
