​CAKE with Wotbikini is a vibrant social paddleboarding community for women (18 years plus).

CAKE grew out of a request from a few of my students, fresh from achieving their Paddle UK Paddle Awards (START & DISCOVER) and looking for a regular meet-up that included socialising, paddleboarding, and cake afterwards! 

 

CAKE is,​

• welcoming

• simply enjoy the magic of being on the water and being in great company! 

 

And I promise you, there is always a HUGE splash of laughter!

First you need to complete your Paddle UK DISCOVER Award.  This is one day training (no assessment) on and off the water.  It is fun, relaxed and you come away with lots of fab info, including; 

​

• What to wear

• The equipment we use

• What we carry on our boards

• Planning your journey 

• Understanding different types of inland water and features we may find

• Understanding weather and planning for this 

• Looking after yourself

• Top tips to aid another paddler who has got themselves into difficulty

 

DISCOVER can be booked as a 1-1, just send me an email  and lets compare diaries. 

 

Cost: £150.00

 

Or, group dates (maximum of 4) are available.  These are,

20th August 2026

10th September 2026

Cost: £130.00 pp

If you would like to book on a group DISCOVER, send me an email for further details.  Group DISCOVER course requires a minimum of 2 (max of 4) to run.

​​​On completion of your paddle award, you will be invited to our private women's FB group, CAKE with Wotbikini. I post monthly meets and you just comment if you are coming to play.  

 

Do I need my own equipment for CAKE? 

The majority of our CAKE community have their own equipment.   If you have not yet started investing in your own board etc. You are very welcome to hire equipment (£20.00).

Do I need my own licence? 

Licences are available to use (limited availablity) and are included with the equipment hire or can be used alongside your own equipment (£20.00).

Can I paddle all year with CAKE? 

Yes! Our paddling season is split into, 

 

CAKE Summer Paddling  (May - approx October)  

​​CAKE Winter (Approx October - May)

​

You are required to have invested in seasonally appropriate clothing, and if you are interested in paddling through the winter, this will need to include winter wear, good paddling footwear, BA & basic safety equipment.

We meet once a month (Friday evening, Saturday or a Sunday), and go exploring.

 

To attend, you must have ​

• a reasonable/good degree of fitness

• up for travelling locally & further afield (between 1 - 2hrs)

• time on the water is adjusted to suit individuals within the group.

• confident on the water and controlling your board.

​​Completed your DISCOVER award in a different craft  or with another provider? 

I will ask you to,

​

• Send me a copy of your certificate

• Book a one-to-one with me (cost £150)  

​

Why do I need to book a 1-1?

I will,

​

• observe your current SUP skill level

• ability to support another paddler who has got into difficulty

• chat through your trip planning skills

• discuss your clothing / footwear options & equipment knowledge

• look at the safety equipment you currently carry and use

How much will it cost me to attend a CAKE social paddle? 

Have your own equipment & waterways licence - just put a donation in the pot per session you attend.

 

Need to hire equipment or /& a waterways licence - £20.00 per session you attend
