​CAKE with Wotbikini is a vibrant social paddleboarding community for women (18 years plus).

​

CAKE grew out of a request from a few of my students, fresh from achieving their awards and looking for a regular meet-up that included socialising, paddleboarding, and cake afterwards! 

 

CAKE is,​

• welcoming

• a safe space

• a social community

And where you, 

• continue to develop your paddling confidence & knowledge 

• simply enjoy the magic of being on the water

 

And I promise you, there is always a HUGE splash of laughter!

First you need to complete your Paddle UK DISCOVER Award.

Last DISCOVER course for 2025 is Sunday 7th September!  

​

On completion, you will be invited to a private women's FB group, CAKE with Wotbikini. I post monthly meets and you comment if you are attending.  

 

Do I need my own equipment for CAKE? 

You can hire equipment and a licence or bring your own.

CAKE seasonal paddling (May - October)  

We meet monthly (Friday evening or weekend) and we paddle the Beeston & Nottingham Canal or the River Trent (easy access from the bank to the water).

 

• Completed Paddle UK DISCOVER Award 

• time on the water is approx. 1 - 1.5 hrs on the water.

• builds your confidence and knowledge on the water

• develops your paddling skills

​CAKE Advanced (monthly throughout the year)

We meet each month (Saturday or a Sunday) and go exploring.

 

To attend this group, you must have,

​

• Completed Paddle UK EXPLORE Award

• a good degree of fitness

• good paddling foundations (technical & tactical)

• up for travelling locally & further afield (between 1 - 2hrs)

• time on the water 3 - 5 hrs

​

You are required to have invested in seasonally appropriate clothing, footwear, BA & basic safety equipment. 

​

Completed your Paddle UK awards in a different craft  or with another provider? 

 

I will ask you to,

​

• Send me a copy of your certificate(s)

• Book a one-to-one with me (cost £150)  

​

Why do I need to book a 1-1?

 

In your 1-1 session, I will,

​

• observe your current SUP skill level

• ability to support another paddler who has got into difficulty

• chat through your trip planning skills

• discuss your clothing / footwear options & equipment knowledge

• look at the safety equipment you currently carry and use

• advise you on which CAKE group is currently best suited for you

How much will it cost me to attend a CAKE social paddle? 

 

Have your own equipment & waterways licence - just put a financial donation in the pot per session you attend.

 

Need to hire equipment & a waterways licence - £20.00 per session you attend
