About This Activity

The opportunity to explore our beautiful local waterways and progress with your paddling journey. HOW EXPERIENCED DO I NEED TO BE? *This is a great course to do whether you have completed an introduction to SUP or are self-taught. *There is no requirement to stand - kneeling and sitting is great! * You just need to be able to adjust the direction of your board and control your speed. *Don't worry if you struggle with climbing back on your board from deep water. I am here to help. WHO IS IT FOR? Women - 18 years plus. HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS? A maximum of four women & you will receive lots of 1-1 support. This course needs a minimum of two participants for it to run HOW LONG IS THIS COURSE? Up to 3 hrs (including safety briefing and discussion) WHAT DOES IT COVER? Prepping your boards, clothing and equipment information, tips for getting on the water, exploring and developing the different paddle strokes we use, getting back on your board and safety tips! You will receive a Paddle UK START certificate. WHERE DO WE MEET? Beeston, Nottingham. We will be paddling on either the river Trent, or the Beeston & Nottingham Canal. This will be decided nearer the date as it is informed by water levels and the weather. EQUIPMENT? Board, buoyancy aid, quick release leash, paddle, dry bag, water licence & wetsuit is included. CLOTHING? If you would like a wetsuit (S, M, L, XL, XXL) WhatsApp me to reserve your size. Or if the weather is warm, a synthetic leggings & top are fab! AND ON MY FEET? Old trainers or water shoes - no bare feet. ARE THERE CHANGING ROOMS & TOILETS? There are no changing rooms so come ready to paddle or be prepared to change discreetly - a dry robe or equivalent is brilliant for this! There is access to a CRT toilet. PARKING? Parking is free - a popular spot for walkers, runners, cyclists, and fisherman so it's at a premium! This is a residential area so please be respectful of our local community. WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE? Arrive 40 mins prior so you can find a parking space, meet everyone, get changed and prep equipment. Never inflated a board? Not a problem - I will show you how. ACCESS Contact me directly for more details. WHAT IF THE WEATHER MEANS WE CAN NOT GET ON THE WATER? If I do not think it is safe to run the session, I will transfer your booking to another agreed date in the diary. T&C's apply - https://www.wotbikinipaddleboarding.co.uk/terms-and-conditions
