About This Activity

This is the third of the British Canoeing Paddle Awards (Start, Discover and EXPLORE). The Explore Award draws upon all that you have completed in the previous awards and supports your taking ownership of prepping, planning and going out on a trip in Sheltered Water environment. Starting with a 1-1 thirty-minute online chat, we discuss your goals & motivations. Where you feel your paddling is to date plus specific areas & knowledge you wish to focus upon and develop. We will meet for 3 sessions lasting up to 4 hours each (including safety briefings and summary discussions / reflections). Dates: 6th, 13th & 20th July 2024 This award is centred around your choice of equipment, planning your trip, type of water, weather, accessing the water, other users, impacts on the environment, controlling your board and safety. Tailored to your personal SUP development & working together we will create a programme that suits your individual needs while developing and progressing your learning. By the end of the course, you are making confident and independent choices. Together, we will plan & paddle on inland waters around Nottinghamshire, drawing upon the different features (natural and manmade) to help shape your development, knowledge and build your experience. You are welcome to extend your course to include further sessions. Costings on request. You are welcome to bring all your own equipment or hire from me. Costings on request. Maximum of 4 women per course - this course needs a minimum of two to run. This course is accredited by British Canoeing and you will receive a certificate to celebrate your achievement. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by you: ​ Cancellation by you – is refundable up to 30 days before the scheduled session. Refunds are not available post this 30 day cut off point. We recommend that you take out personal holiday insurance in case you are unable to attend. ​ ​ Cancellation by us: ​ Wotbikini works hard to deliver all our booked sessions.  We do however reserve the right to cancel, modify, change delivery sites for any activity or activities on grounds of safety, bad weather, illness or other factors beyond our control.   Wotbikini will make all reasonable attempts to find you an alternative date for the activity booked or you may opt for a voucher (valid for 12 months). ​ ​
